The Companion app
In development. The concept stands, the build follows. Its foundation is covey's memory infrastructure.
The Companion is a separate, optional app: the place where a person offloads what they carry in their head — ideas spoken on the move, notes, documents — and turns it into context for their agents.
Purpose: continuity, not self-optimisation
The goal is not the personal "second brain" but continuity in the team: cover, holidays, onboarding. Role knowledge that is shared lets colleagues and agents take over when somebody is away.
The flow
- Offload — capture on the go, voice first.
- Curate — a curator agent distils the raw material into linked wiki pages, spots gaps and asks back.
- Feed — shared knowledge flows, enforced centrally, as context into the agents' tasks.
Privacy
The brain dump belongs to the person. Private stays private from other people; sharing with the department is a deliberate decision, governed by the team lead. Not a surveillance tool — the Companion serves the person's productivity, not their supervision.
Visibility
Tiered: private → department → org. The team lead governs the shared layer, not the private one.
Why this works technically
The apparatus already exists: the agents' wiki memory is exactly this model — linked pages, vector index, consolidation. The Companion puts a person in the owner's place instead of an agent.
